Powers and Abilities : Yellow Lantern possesses a Bizarro power ring, identical in make and abilities to the Qwardian power rings used by other members of the
Sinestro Corps. The power ring is capable of nearly any function the user can imagine, provided the user has the focus and willpower to direct the ring to enact it. Most commonly, it used to generate solid light constructs that can be used for offense or defense; to gather, record or retrieve data; or to enable the user to traverse hyperspace at faster than light velocities.
Weaknesses : Yellow Lantern, like all other Bizarros, is handicapped by compulsive behavior that acts in opposition to logic and common sense. He is incapable of normal conversation and only a fellow Bizarro could understand him. His power ring also has a built-in 'ripcord effect' which allows
Sinestro to drag the unwilling Bizarro wherever he needs him to be.
History : Created by the third
Bizarro, the Yellow Lantern is the Bizarro duplicate of
Hal Jordan, and proudly proclaims himself the 'Worst Protector of Htrae', the cube-shaped planetoid Bizarro built for his creations to inhabit. Yellow Lantern did indeed protect his homeworld in a fashion, stopping the efforts of Bizarro Doomsday by assisting his fellow Bizarro League members into dropping the League's hyperbolic headquarters on top of him. Indeed, Yellow Lantern might have continued living his bizarre, if fairly harmless, life in peace if he hadn't been discovered by
Sinestro, who forcibly recruited the Bizarro into his
Sinestro Corps. Bound to
Sinestro's will, Yellow Lantern has since fought alongside the
Sinestro Corps in their recent assault on
Oa.
He was also alongside the
Sinestro Corps in their assault on
Earth, part of the team reinforcing
Amon Sur at the Justice League Watchtower. Yellow Lantern engaged in a futile attempt to battle
Blue Beetle and
G'nort, but was defeated.
