Powers and Abilities : Raven is a half-demon, endowed with a number of sorcerous and infernal abilities. Her primary power is the psionic ability of empathy, the power to absorb or even steal the emotions of others. By stealing an emotionally traumatized person's emotions, she can cure their mind. Those who have had their emotions stolen are left in a state of apathy, numb to emotion. She can also absorb the pain of the injured, and can heal the body of physical injuries as well. Before her second death Raven could even
force outside emotions into other people, an ability she used to save
Wally West's life and seduce
Dick Grayson into a short-lived relationship. It is unknown if she still possesses this ability or if she just chooses to no longer use it.
Raven also has the ability to manifest her 'Soul-Self,' which is in essence a form of astral projection. Her Soul-Self normally takes the form of either her normal human body or a giant raven. Raven can project her Soul-Self into the minds of others, an ability she can use both offensively or defensively. She has demonstrated the ability to calm an ally's emotions and to render an enemy unconscious. She can further use her Soul-Self as a shield against sorcerous attacks. Most impressively, Raven can use her soul-self to travel into other dimensions. By converting her entire body into her Soul-Self, she can teleport between time and space, and even transport other individuals with her.
In the past, Raven has demonstrated limited precognitive abilities. She was able to predict her father Trigon's invasions of the Earth-2 dimension, though she admitted she could not control or consciously activate these visions. She has demonstrated other sorcerous abilities with more proficiency, including the ability to cast illusions and levitate objects and people.
Raven recently gained the ability to fly as well. In the past, this ability was beyond Raven's power to control, manifesting only when she submitted to her father's demonic power or was under some other demonic influence.
