Team History:
The original Monster Society of Evil was organized by Mister Mind, a Venusian mindworm bent on conquest. Aided by Dr. Sivana, Mr. Mind assembled a team of powerful supervillains, using his mind-controlling powers to induce villains such as Captain Nazi and Mr. Atom to obey his will. The original Monster Society was defeated by the Marvel Family and a team of Green Lanterns, but after being disbanded, Dr. Light and later Dr. Sivana organized new incarnations of the Monster Society under their leadership. The current Monster Society is largely made up of ex-Secret Society members who are dissatisfied with present Society leadership and wish to take control of the Secret Society themselves.

Recently the Monster Society conducted a focused assault on the Society, though the battle ultimately resulted in a draw. The Monster Society has lain low since the battle.
