Powers and Abilities : Livewire is a metahuman with electrokinetic abilities. She can absorb, generate, and project electricity of any level of voltage. Indeed, she can transform her entire body into living energy and travel through any medium that can conduct an electrical current. Her usual costume is made up of ionized air and can be shifted into any garment she desires. She is also capable of possessing and controlling any devices along a grid that conduct electricity in her energy state - notably, consumer electronics and telecommunications networks. Livewire can also broadcast the energy she has stored in the form of a coherent signal (radio wave, etc.), without directing the energy at a target. The electricity Livewire projects can be of any known intensity and is strong enough to even stun
Superman.
Weaknesses: Livewire can absorb a vast amount of electricity, but that amount is not infinite and can be depleted. When her electricity is depleted, Livewire reverts to her solid form and cannot use most of her abilities or transform into living electricity until absorbing at least a minimal amount of electric power from some source. However, even when depowered, she can direct the flow of free electricity from an available energy source to re-power herself. Livewire is also vulnerable to water; her stored electricity will short-circuit and dissipate if she gets wet.
History : Including important DCU plots and Watchtower developments.
Other Sources :Divergences : Follows the comics retcon of Livewire as a metahuman as opposed to gaining her powers in a freak lightning storm. Livewire has not yet publicly revealed her abilities and is still a shock jock. She is currently based out of
New York, but still broadcasts to
Metropolis, where she got her start. Is dating
Pete Powell for ulterior motives.
