Powers and Abilities : Jesse Quick is a speedster, capable of the various tricks and stunts commonly associated with the power. In addition to enhanced reaction time and running speed, she can use her speed powers to manipulate air by fanning her arms at high speed. She can run on water, and has some control over the rate at which the molecules of her body vibrate, allowing for momentary intangibility. She can also rapidly heal wounds by consciously accelerating her metabolism. Jesse's top speed is around half of the speed of light.

Unlike most speedsters, Jesse possesses the ability to fly - a process that resembles running on air. She also has inherited enhanced strength and durability from her mother.

History :
Jesse comes from an established superhero family -- her father, Johnny Quick, taught her the formula for his enhanced speed, and her mother was an active member of the Justice Society of America (as Liberty Belle).

While studying at Gotham University, she became involved (with the help of her father) with the Justice Society as Jesse Quick; it was during this time that she met Wally West (the Flash).

In a battle with Savitar, who had diverted the Speed Force from the other speedsters to his army of ninjas, her father gave his life in order to protect Jesse, and merged with the Speed Force.

After her father's death, Jesse took on the role of managing her father's corporation, Quickstart Enterprises, as well as continuing as Jesse Quick. She is currently serving as the business manager for the Justice Society and is one of the senior members of Titans East.

Other Sources :

Divergences : Diverges before Identity Crisis #1. Jesse's power loss in DCU canon was ignored in Watchtower continuity. Also, she has not taken up the Liberty Belle mantle from her mother at this time.
