Our current cast list can be found
here.We allow players to apply for
original characters if they have established themselves with a canon character.
Over time, we will try to build entries for virtually the entire cast of the DC Universe here. A character's page should have a title matching the character's most commonly recognized name. We may also create links on the index pages with common aliases, however.
For example, our Ted Kord is very much alive, so Jaime Reyes, when he came along, adopted the codename '
the Scarab'. His page will be titled 'Scarab', but for the convenience of people not familiar with our continuity, we will likely link to his page from 'Blue Beetle III' as well.

What 'Status' Means : Each character entry should have a status note - this should reflect whether or not the character currently has a fulltime player. It may also reflect unusual current conditions for that character - typically, 'deceased' might show up. A character whose status is "Available (Deceased)" means that the character is dead in Watchtower's continuity, but if someone really wants to play them, they can come along with an idea for the character's resurrection. A status of "Played (Deceased)" means that though the character has shuffled off the mortal coil in the Watchtower DCU, a player still has claim on the character. Other statuses can include 'Retired' - for
Original Characters whose players have moved on, or 'NPC', for characters who aren't played, but for whom we would be reluctant to accept applications, such as Destiny or
the Spectre.
Tags : We're using the WetPaint system of tagging to group related pages. All characters are tagged as 'character'. All characters will also be tagged based on availability : 'available', 'played', 'retired', 'NPC'.
Other tags are based on meta-properties of the character:
- multiple utility - character appears in more than one of our utility journals.
- oc - original character.
- untagged - character has no tag on our community, and probably has not appeared.
- plural - An entry that reflects multiple characters. (Double Dare, for instance, or The Demons Three)
- complete - A character whose full write-up has been completed. There may be more to add as time goes on, but the article's more than a stub.
- dcau - character has been brought in from the DC Animated Universe, and has no comics canon.
