Powers and Abilities :
Catman is an excellent tracker. He is very skilled in bladed weapons and is extremely agile and stealthy. His gloves are equipped with sharp metal claws that look to that of a lions paw.Catman claims his costume gives him the proverbial nine lives of a cat.

History : Tom Blake used to be a world-famous trapper of jungle cats who turned to a life of crime because he had grown bored with hunting and had depleted most of his fortune. He became a burglar who committed his crimes in a catsuit made out of an ancient African cloth he believed gave him a cat's nine lives. His costume was modeled after Catwoman's disguise. Catwoman helped Batman catch the criminal because she was not pleased with him copying her costume. The two costumed criminals would have a competitive, love/hate relationship for many years afterward which included Selina Kyle (Catwoman) being wrongly accused for Catman's crimes at least once. His weapon of choice was a cat-o-nine-tails (a multi-tailed whip). He grew tired of always failing and out of desperation he returned to Africa to regain his confidence and pride. Living in the jungle gave him and training with the cats helped him regain his confidence and fighting ability.

Divergences : Blake re-emerged from the wilderness recently, with the intent of reclaiming who he once was. Thomas quickly found that his name in society has dwindled to a running punchline for supervillain failure. Blake's return was met with skepticism, and a mountain of bad deals and debt from previous adventures. Recently, Blake was given one last shot at redemption, namely, the job of field leader for Lex Luthor's "Infinity Initiative".
