Powers and Abilities : Owen is proficient with a variety of specialized boomerang weapons, modelled on those used by his father. He also has access to short bursts of superspeed.

History : Owen Mercer is the newest of the Flash's Rogues, taking the place of his deceased father (Captain Boomerang I). His villainous career has been unremarkable so far, mainly working in tandem with the likes of Captain Cold, Mirror Master, and the Trickster.

Divergences : Diverges at Identity Crisis #1. The events of that mini-series transpired mostly as depicted for Owen - though Jack Drake survived his fateful encounter with the elder Captain Boomerang in Watchtower's continuity, Owen's father wasn't so lucky. Owen's subsequent adventures in DCU continuity have not been reflected in the Watchtower, yet.
