Powers and Abilities : Kip has no superhuman abilities but is in excellent physical condition and has advanced knowledge of computers, both hardware and software. He has been mentored by
Oracle.

History : Kip was raised in
Blüdhaven and later
Gotham City, first by his parents in their brief and troubled marriage, and then by his Aunt Justine after his mother, a drug addict, killed his father in an argument. Justine Blackwell brought up her nephew in a rough neighborhood...but she made sure Kip was raised properly. He went to Mass with her every weekend and often on Wednesdays, he helped keep their house clean, he helped cook. The upbringing was strict but very, very loving, and Kip flourished. An excellent student, especially with math and science, he truly excelled in athletics and became a standout football and baseball player, winning a scholarship to Gotham University.
Before he could graduate, however, Kip and another player disrupted
the Joker and his henchmen roughing up someone near campus. Kip's friend was killed, and Kip himself was blinded by a shot of Joker's acid directly to the eyes. Thanks to his upbringing and his faith, he learned to be independent, determined to graduate, and got a plethora of specialized computer equipment from the Wayne Foundation to help him graduate with a degree in computer science.
As he worked as a contractor in computer security, Kip also began hacking into high-tech systems... not to steal or damage but to fine-tune, to find security holes and then report or just fix them. When he tried hacking into the
Justice League's mainframe,
Oracle caught him and ended up hiring him as her assistant. Eventually circumstances, the destruction of his flat by Brother I and need led him - and his cat Cake - to live on the Watchtower fundamentally full-time, overseeing operations there and acting as Oracle's hands in space.
